Inside the NBP - Season 2, Week 3

Hello fans and Blood Bowlers and welcome to another action packed edition of Inside The NBP! As always I'm your faithful host Crypt Collinsworth here to bring you all the results from Week 3 of Season 2. The last week of divisional play before intra-conference match ups! We have recaps of all 12 Pro games for you as well as our usual Players of the Week and Injury Report.

To start things off on the right shambling foot so to speak let's send it over to my partner in crime; no really we've been arrested together, former blood bowl world champion and NBP analyst Ronnie Rott!

You know Crypt one of the conditions of the plea agreement we signed specifically says we aren't supposed to . . . oh right we are live well ahem let's forget about that for a moment and dive right into the action of week 3. We've got all the match recaps and this week we have divisional recaps as well! We will show you exactly where all the pro teams stand!

Let's check in with Tar and Feather to get things started off where Rolling Bones took on Gremlins 2. In the match between bash and speed, bash won the day as Rolling Bones were able to pick up the 2 to 1 victory over Gremlins 2.

Some underhanded fans of Gremlins 2 doing what they can to even the odds.

Our other match up of the division featured rivals Strong Bad's Awesome Team and #Swole. Though The Awesome Team was again unable to get that dwarf monkey off their back falling 2 to 0; The Awesome Team will continue to fight and looks forward to avenging their loss in the second half of the season.

After the first set of division games Rolling Bones is in first place with 6 points. #Swole is in second place with 4 points. Strong Bad's Awesome Team is in third with 2 points and Gremlins 2 is in fourth place with 0 points. There is still 5 games left to play, will Rolling Bones run away with it, or can #Swole step up and reclaim their division. Or can The Awesome Team or Gremlins 2 go on a run and challenge?

Heading on over now to the 3D we first check in with Loki's Toys vs Goth Bondage Party. In a body filled, aggressive contest Goth Bondage Party asserted their Dominance again wining the match 2 to 1 and overcoming a shortfall of players.

Do you know how expensive it is to find a good replacement Peg Slave?

Our other battle of 3D was the classic Orc vs Wood Elf match up as Green Plague took on Pine Crags Pronghorn. The Elves scored early and often, coming out to 2 to 0 lead before The Green Plague was able to at least score to pull the game to 2 to 1 win for Pine Crags Pronghorn.

The victory for pronghorns didn't come without cost as the apothocary botched the job, killing poor Celinil for good.

After the first round of games Goth Bondge Party is in front with 5 points, Pine Crags Pronghorn are in second with 3 points, Loki's Toys are in third with 2 points and 37 SPP, and The Green Plague are in fourth with 2 points and 36 SPP.

Let's take things over to the west with the Ale and Anarchy division. In our first match up Slingers clashed with Springfield Atoms. The troubles continued for the Atoms after last weeks loss to Sticks and Stones; Slingers won 3 to 0 and increased their record to 2 and 0 and 1.

I never knew that Ghouls could be so agile.

In our other match up Varangian Guard took on Sticks and Stones. The Wood elves kept their upset training going, defeating Varangian Guard 2 to 1 and handing the Norsemen their first ever loss in Nuffle Be Praised.

Sticks and Stones have battled back from adversity to string 2 wins together.

Sticks and Stones have battled back from adversity to string 2 wins together.

In the division standings Slingers stand atop with 5 points, followed by the surprised upstart Sticks and Stones in second with 4, Varangian Guard comes in third with 2, and Springfield Atoms bring up the rear with 1. I don't know if anyone expected Varangian Guard and Springfield Atoms both season one playoff teams to be at the bottom of the division after the first set of games. There is still plenty of blood bowl left though and it's still anyone's division.

Let's take a quick commercial break and we will come back with recaps for our other 3 divisions!

Okay fans we are back and let's move right along to Salt Works where in our first match Dead men of Dunharrow took on The Theten Second Coming. In a match up between 2 teams that had been win-less going into it The Theten Second Coming shook off the losing streak defeating the un-dead squad 3 to 0.

Is he fouling or doing the thriller dance?

In our other Lizard vs Undead match up Club 27 took on Dumpster Diving Lizards. Lizard-men seemed to have the advantage in this match up as well as Dumpster Diving Lizards squeaked out the narrow 1 to 0 victory.

Treasure Hunter looks so pleased with himself, granted all skinks look like that most of the time.

Dumpster Diving Lizards stand atop Salt works with 6 points, followed by Club 27 with 4 points, The Theten Second Coming is in third with 2 points and the Dead Men of Dunharrow is in fourth with 0 points. One thing is for sure either a lizard-men or un-dead team is going to win this division.

Now we check in with NBP-Europa and The Old World Division. In our first match up Dungeon and Dragqueens took on Dangerous Warriors. In a high scoring and violent affair neither team could secure the advantage and the match ended in a 2 to 2 tie.

Sometimes getting the tie and avoiding the loss is more important than getting the win.

Elsewhere in the Old World Brittany Privateers 2 clashed with Pax Romana. No team in the Old World has an answer for the skaven menace as Brittany Privateers again scored 3 touchdowns enroute to a shutout victory over the lizards.

Another Touchdown for the Privateers they have 9 scored on the season.

Brittany Privateers 2 is dominating the division undefeated with 6 points, Dangerous Warriors, Dungeon and Dragqueens and Pax Romana all have 2 points but are in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively due to total SPP tiebreakers.

Now we move on to our last stop the Beheaded Kings division in our first match up Tree Huggers Affiliated took on The Rockport Redbacks. The Redbacks showed why their Bite is worse than their bark, punishing a number of elf players with casualties. However the elves still had the touchdowns and won the game 3 to 2 off the strength of war dancer Drago's 3 TDS.

The rainy conditions didn't stop the scoring as a totally of 5 touchdowns were made that day.

In our last match up Kiss of Death took on Bootsers. The chaos team kept their streak going picking up another win and defeating Boosters 2 to 1.

Did you ever meet a Beast Man with three arms? Which one do you shake?

Did you ever meet a Beast Man with three arms? Which one do you shake?

Kiss of Death sits atop beheaded kings with 6 points, followed by Bootsers with 3 points, Tree Huggers Affiliated with 2 points, and Rockport Redbacks with 1. Kiss of Death is in the drivers seat of the division, can they stay the course and keep the other teams down, or will the other teams step up and assert themselves?

That does it for our match recaps let's send it back over to Crypt!

Smashing job Ronnie great to see an in-depth look at the standings! Up next we send it over to someone I've never been arrested with though I hear has been arrested many times Mr. John Maddening with our players of the week!

You know Crypt I have been arrested many times, but I still challenge that it isn't public urination if you don't THINK there is anyone around to see it, apparently cabal wizard screens count. Anyway let's forgot about that and get into what you are all itching to get into our Players of the Week! As you know we pick one player from each conference and then one player overall from those three to be the player of the league!

We start off in our Eastern Conference where the award goes to Rolling Bones Zombie Tom Fogerty with 11 SPP including an MVP award! How will Rolling Bones celebrate this accolade?

For our Western Conference player of the week we award the title to Slingers Ghoul Limbbasher! Who also picked up 11 SPP including an MVP! Undead are cleaning up the awards!

The award for Europa player of the week goes to Tree Huggers Affiliated War-Dancer Drago who crushed the Rockport Redbacks with 3 TDS and 9 SPP.

Drago poses for all of his adoring fans.
