Hello, fans and blood-bowlers, and welcome to week 8 of Inside the NBP! Crypt Collinsworth, your emaciated MC here to bring you all the action from our final week of the regular season! Who will advance to the Nuffle Challenge Series?! We've got our match recaps, our players of the week, and our injury report. Without further ado, we throw it over to our pustulous presenter, Ronnie Rott!

And they all laughed when I learned Diving Catch!

Thanks, Crypt.  Week 8 is in the books, and it didn't fail to deliver on excitement. Let's get right into the action!

Starting in the Tar & Feather division, Strong Bad's Awesome Team faced the Rolling Bones. With both teams vying for a long odds wildcard slot, the competition was fierce. At the final whistle, the Undead offensive took the day, 3-1.

One of the less sterling examples of the Rolling Bones offense.

Then #Swole took on Gremlins 2. Any momentum that Gremlins 2 had from their upset victory last week was not able to translate against the bearded beer-guzzlers and Swole took a 2-0 victory.

Descending to the Deep Dark Division, the Pine Crags Pronghorn geared up to face the Green Plague.   The Elves scored early and often, coming out to 2 to 0 lead before The Green Plague was able to at least score to pull the game to 2 to 1 win for Pine Crags Pronghorn.

Closing out the division saw the top seed Goth Bondage Party playing against Loki's Toys. With agility to spare, the Goth Bondage Party cruised to a 4-1 win, but it did come at a price.

In the Western Conference let's check in on the volatile Ale & Anarchy Division. In the match between the Springfield Atoms vs the Slingers, with the Slingers fighting for a possible division lock. In a tense back and forth game, the Humans just ran out of answers to the Undead advance, dropping 2-1.

Next was the matchup between the Varangian Guard and Sticks and Stones. The Wood Elves dogged the Norse at every opportunity but could not find a way to hold off the Norse advance, losing 1-0.

In the Salt Works, it was a week of mirror matches. Second Seed Dumpster Diving Lizards faced The Theten Second Coming, readily handling their scaled siblings a 3-1 loss.

Then Club 27 put on a clinic against the Dead Men of Dunharrow, drubbing the Dead Men 3-0.

Heading over to the Old World of the Europa Conference, Pax Romana has locked down a wildcard slot blanking the Dangerous Warriors 3-0.

Brittany Privateers 2 confirmed their position at the top routing Dungeon & Dragqueens with a late 2-1 victory.

In Beheaded Kings, the game between the Rockport Ridgebacks and Tree Huggers Affilated went the distance to a 2-2 draw with a less than effective wizard.

The late equalizer helped the Redbacks prevent any last effort Wood Elf heroics.

And our last game saw Kiss of Death push around the Bootsers, pushing the score 2-0 with a late drive.

And that's a wrap on Week 8. With the post-season rapidly approaching, including the Nuffle Challenge Series, MuRYDER CUP, Mediocre Tournament and a Blurst of the Blurst, there will be plenty of excitement headed your way! Back to you, Crypt.

Thanks, Ronnie. Now, let's check in with John Maddening to see who picked up the players of the week.

Hey, BB-brains, John Maddening here to bring you the Players of Week 8. In the Europa conference, the stand out skink was Stump Chunkman, serving up 2 TDs for Pax Romana on their way to their 3-0 route.

Back in the Eastern Conference, Pine Crags Pronghorn Wardancer Mahtarost certainly earned his pay this week with 2 TDs and an interception against The Green Plague

Lastly, in the Western Conference, Dumpster Diving Lizards' star wonderskink, Gristle McThornBody showed the league how to get it done, scoring 3 TDs by himself to secure the match over The Theten Second Coming.

It should come as no surprise that Week 8's Impact Player of the League is Gristle McThornBody! That's back to back awards for the Dumpster Diving Lizards. Will all this media focus give away the team secrets to their opposition?!

Certainly not the last time he would enter the endzone!

With that, let's send it back over to Crypt!
