Hello coaches, blood bowlers and fans alike! Crypt Collinsworth back again, and my colleagues and I have another edition of the Nuffle Be Praised Pro Weekly Recap ready to go! The number one weekly recap show in all of Blood Bowl! We have a lot of matches and injuries to cover. So, let's get to the week three recap!
Our first match up brings us to the Eastern Conference North where DaltMC's #Swole took on Mariogodzilla's Sticks and Stones. The drunken dwarves kept their frat party rolling as they defeated the battered Wood Elves in a 2 to 1 victory.
In our other Eastern Conference North match up, Snakbar7's Arctic Underoos clashed with Stimee's Strong Bad's Awesome Team. In a bloody and wild affair that included player deaths on both sides, the Arctic Underoos took the match in a 2 to 0 shutout.
After the the first round of division games #Swole sits on top, followed closely by the Arctic Underoos. Strong Bad's Awesome Team finds themselves in third place, and Sticks and Stones need to turn things around if they want to escape the bottom of the division.
Moving on to the other action in Eastern Conference, we have the Southern Division where our first match up saw Hezekiah87's The Green Plague take on Bortbot18's Goth Bondage Party. In a game where the dark elves hit harder than the orcs, the Goth Bondage Party picked up the narrow 1 to 0 victory.
Our other match up in the Eastern Conference South featured CommieCozy's number one ranked Genetically Engineered Superelf High taking on Fatmarc4lyfe1's Odin's Finest. In a wild and raucous match up that saw more than a few outrageous moments GESH continued their domination of the South Division picking up the win 3 to 0.
With the first set of division games in the books, GESH is in first place with Goth Bondage Party in second, followed closely by The Green Plague, and finally the division is rounded out by Odin's Finest in fourth.
In the Eastern Conference standings GESH sits on top with 5 points and 49 total SPP, #Swole is in second with 36 SPP, 1 SPP point stands between the Arctic Underoos and the Goth Bondage Party in third and fourth place respectively. In the bottom half of the conference Strong Bad's Awesome Team is in fifth place, followed by The Green Plague in sixth. Sticks and Stones and Odin's Finest sit at seventh and eight place. With the inter-conference games coming up in the next few weeks it will be interesting to see if GESH can maintain their position on top of the conference or will one of the other teams take the spotlight and the top spot?
Let's move the action over to the Western Conference and check in on our Northern Division. In a highly anticipated match for first place in the conference, Jonny_Mal's Springfield Atoms took on MidwayMonster_01's Varangian Guard. In a fierce back and forth contest neither coach was able to get the advantage leading to a 1 to 1 tie.
Our other match in the Western Conference North was between MrB1129's House Verindath and Dymntd's Ol' Angry Ears. In the showdown of the win-less teams, Ol' Angry Ears were able to pick up their first victory, besting the other dark elf squad 2 to 0.
Even though the match up between Varangian Guard and The Springfield Atoms ended in a tie, The Atoms have more SPP and thus take first place in the division. The Varangian Guard are breathing right down their neck in second place, followed by Ol' Angry Ears and in fourth place House Verindath.
Finally we make our way to the Western Conference South where our first game featured Silaninil's World Wide Webz vs Nollix's Aztecs. In a game that featured rough dice for the lizards, World Wide Webz prevailed 3 to 1. For an in-depth match report check this weeks Thursday Night Blood Bowl.
In our last match up of the week Double Pastis' Dark Theory took on ChaseJJ's Peasant Brigade. In a game full of action and lots of fouling, and ejections Dark Theory took the fight to the Brigade prevailing in a 3 to 0 victory.
After the first series of division games, Dark Theory leads the division, with the World Wide Webz 1 point behind in second. Aztecs are still in the thick of it in third place, while ChaseJJ's Peasant Brigade have yet to put any victory or draw points on the board.
With 3 games played its still very much anyone's conference. The Springfield Atoms sit in first place by virtue of their 45 SPP. The Dark Theory are in close second with 42 SPP, followed by The Varangian Guard with 31 SPP. The World Wide Webz are in fourth place, followed by the Aztecs and Ol' Angry Ears in fifth and sixth place with The Peasant Brigade and House Verindath rounding out seventh and eighth.
That does it for this week's match roundup let's send it over to John Maddening with the week three player of the week report!
Hello fans and coaches, John Maddening here again with the awards for the players of week for week 3. Remember, the selection is based upon the players' on pitch performances for the week in review. We will choose 3 players. The first 2 choices will be awarded to stand out players in their conference and they will be awarded the “Conference Player of the Week” title. We then select the week's overall stand-out player for “League-wide Player of the Week”. Selection for league wide player of the week disqualifies that player from also winning the “Conference Player of the Week” title. Now with that out of the way lets get to the awards!
Our first award goes to Dark Theory's Intrepid Witch Elf Celirthea. She earned the title of “Western Conference Player of the Week” by scoring 2 touchdowns in Dark Theory's win over the peasant brigade.
Next up we award the “Eastern Conference Player of the Week” which goes to the Genetically Engineered Superelf High's (GESH) 3LF-0001. Who scored 2 touchdowns and earned the game MVP in GESH'S overwhelming victory against Odin's Finest.
Now for the main event, we award this week's player of the league award! This week the award goes to World Wide Webz' Celeos. Celeos was all over the field in the Webz Victory over the Aztecs. Managing to injure a skink and complete key passes to set up scores.
That does it for the players of the week, now we send it on over to Howard Co-Hell and the weekly injury report.
Hello everyone and welcome to the Nuffle Be Praised Pro injury report with me Howard Co-Hell. I've given up on the idea that I'm ever going to get Crypt Collinsworth's Job and now have resigned myself to trying to do the best job I can with the injury report.
Lets get things started shall we? First up we have our badly hurts. These players were taken off the field shaken up, but their injuries were so minor they won't even miss a game. Heayne and Mylmil from Sticks and Stones, Telis from Ol' Angry Ears, Strong Sad from Strong Bad's Awesome Team, Skalladis from Arctic Underoos, Kyrriorn from Dark Theory, Roneth from Varangian Guard, Seymour Skinner from Springfield Atoms, Glormael journeyman from Goth Bondage Party, Mornail from The Green Plague, Ayauhteatl from Aztecs.
Next we bring you the miss next games. A little more damage than the badly hurts. These players will be forced to sit out a game as they recuperate from their injuries. 3LF-0010 from GESH, and Gorkzog from The Green Plague.
After the MNG's we bring on the niggling injuries. Players nursing a niggling injury will have to be extra careful to avoid re-aggravating their injuries in future games. Skalla the Drunk from Arctic Underoos, and Waylon Smithers from Springfield Atoms.
Now we have the permanent stat downs. These players usually find themselves looking for a team to play for because the liability of keeping them on is usually too much for a team to bear. Caltheal from World Wide Webz with Armor Value Down.
Finally we come on to that final injury . . . death. These players have given up the ghost and have gone to that great pitch in the sky. Macar'nor from Sticks and Stones, The Cheat from Strong Bad's Awesome Team, and Olafolfr from Arctic Underoos.
Lastly we award the week three bloodiest game of the week. This week's honor goes to the Strong Bad Awesome Team vs Arctic Underoos match up. Featuring two badly hurt players, one niggling injury and two deaths!
Well that wraps up another edition of the Nuffle Be Praised weekly recap, this is Howard Co-Hell signing off. Don't forget to check back in a few days for more news and match recaps and don't forget Praise Nuffle!
