Transfer Market Opens Monday September 12th!

League President Stimee and League Commissioner CommieCOZY are excited to announce the opening of the between-season transfer market on Monday September 12! The transfer marker will run for a period of two weeks ending at 11:59 pm eastern time Sunday, September 25.

Take advantage of the market and strengthen your team, or maybe cut some bloated team value and find your star player a good home! One of our goals here at NBP is to build a rich league, full of history, and one way we can accomplish that is by everybody participating in the transfer market!

Before we get into the rules of the transfer market I would like to take a minute to spotlight three players from last years transfer market that made quite an impact in NBP!

First we have Stand-out Troll Slayer Lars Skulldrinker! Starting out in the developmental league on CommieCOZY's Koom Valley Sappers, Lars Skulldrinker quickly proved he was a better player than the developmental leagues deserved, however CommieCOZY had no intentions of running a professional Dwarf team. However it just so happened that DaltMC's #Swole were in desperate need of a Troll Slayer replacement. When CommieCOZY knew #Swole was in the market, he picked up the phone and made the deal! After a player swap and transfer of gold, Skulldrinker was transferred to #Swole and the rest they say is history, as Lars quickly became #Swole's most dependent bruiser. It's no doubt that Lars Skulldrinker played a HUGE part in #Swole's undefeated run to The Nuffle Challenge Series Final.

Lars never felt at home on the Koom Valley Sappers, once he met the bros of #Swole he felt like he'd been a bro his whole life.

Another shrewd call up during the season, Lilrieann first started out on coach Dymntd's dark elf developmental team Slow Pitch. A Witch-elf with Block, Lilriean joined Ol' Angry Ears mid-season, turning the slumping Dark Elves into a force on the pitch. With Lilriean on the pitch, Ol' Angry Ears were able to upset the then undefeated and league leading Springfield Atoms. Not content to rest on those accolades, Lilrieann helped Ol' Angry Ears qualify for and win The Blurst of The Blurst Finals!

The Toughest Witch Elf in NBP, Lilrieann survived numerous Mighty Blow shots and piles on, en route to Ol' Angry Ears Victory in Blurst of The Blurst.

Final our last stand out call-up from last season, we have Homestar Runner Chaos Warrior! Originally a member of Stimee's developmental squad The Poopsmiths, Homestar Runner CW earned his promotion to Strong Bad's Awesome team after perfecting the devastating Jump Up/Mighty Blow skills combination which allowed him to attack from nearly anywhere on the pitch. Once in NBP, Homestar also picked up Pile-on and with that became the most feared player on Strong Bad's Awesome Team. With a never-ending Blood Lust, Homestar has killed an opposing player in nearly every game he has played in, including Sticks and Stones War-dancer Railardyn as well as Ol' Angry Ears Anbaire. Though they weren't able to win the Blurst of The Blurst, Homestar Runner CW is set to anchor a much improved Strong Bad's Awesome Team, who will look to show that they are much better than the Blurst of The Blurst!

Homestar Runner isn't happy about the break between seasons, so he is spending his off season fighting for the forces of Chaos!

Now the rules!

1.A Coach may elect to “call up” 2 players to their professional team from their developmental team (provided you didn't take advantage of a mid-season promotion, if so you may only promote one player from a developmental team,)

2.After transfer your team must be at or below the 1350 TV CAP set for season 2.

3.A coach may relegate players from your pro team to your developmental team to make room for your transfer.

4.You may sell or buy any number of players to and from other pro teams. A pro team is defined as a team that has played in the NBP-Pro League in season one and/or will play in season 2.

5.(Developmental to pro call ups Only) If you can't afford a players full price for transfer you may elect to sell another player at the same position (lineman for lineman, blitzer for blitzer) for a skilled player and only pay the difference in skills..

(I.E. selling a skill-less Chaos Warrior for 100k and replacing him with one for 140k (40k skill price difference)

Players may also elect to sell a different positional to buy a player from their developmental team, the same rules as above apply although you must also pay for the difference in position (if any) as well as the difference in skills.

(I.E. Selling a skill-less beast man at 60k to replace with a skilled Chaos Warrior at 120k, you would need to have 60k in gold to do the transaction.)

6.For The purposes of parity and to avoid manipulation developmental to developmental transfers are not allowed. (A developmental to developmental transfer is defined as a transfer between 2 teams in the developmental league or a transfer between a developmental team and a season one pro team going to developmental).

7.All transfers are subject to approval or denial by league management. Any coach that wishes to dispute a blocked transfer will be able to appeal to the NBP council made up of Stimee, CommieCOZY, and the coaches board of (Bortbot18, DaltMC, and Midway_Monster01.) If a coach from the council is involved in the trade they will recuse themselves from the decision and a replacement coach will be named.

If you have questions or concerns about the rules don't hesitate to contact either Stimee or CommieCOZY or raise your issues in the transfer forum, or in the NBP-PRO.COM chat on play-station network.

Good luck and happy trading!
