Thanks Crypt! Maybe next year you'll be nominated! Who's ready for that Blood Bowl action you crave? We've got it all right here on Inside The NBP! Let's start off with special coverage of the Race Roulette Ruckus Semi-final match ups! For those of you who haven't been following the competition, the Race Roulette Ruckus is a 12 team competition featuring 1 team of each race (excluding Nurgle) split into 2 blocks of 6. The Top 2 teams of each block met this week in the semi-finals! Let's check out the action!

Our first match up pitted the Tombstone Terrors undead squad against Nekromancie's Folly the Necromantic team. A vicious game unfolded between the rival un-dead teams. The werewolves proved to be the difference makers as Nekromancie's Folly rode to victory on the back of an outstanding performance by Amaris the Cursed to win the match 2 to 1.

In our other semi final match up we had the Lizard-man Team Crunch'a Munch take on the Chaos squad Phenominal Pain!!!!!! First it must be said as the teams came into the competition fresh it is an incredible achievement to see a Chaos team in the semi-finals as they are well known for being a very hard to Coach rookie team. Fur and scales were flying as the Saurus clashed with the beast-man and Chaos Warriors. When the debris settled Crunch'a Munch had won the match 2 to 1.

Next week we will see a match up between Nekromancie's Folly and Crunch'a Munch to determine the winner of the first ever Nuffle Be Praised Race Roulette Ruckus!

Now onto our next competition we have the opening round of the Mediocre Tournament. As you die-hard Nuffleheads will know the Mediocre tournament is a consolation tournament meant for the teams in Nuffle Be Praised that didn't qualify for the playoffs our our MuRyder Cup competition! We have 4 big matches to recap for you before we get into the main event the semi final matches of The Nuffle Challenge Series!

In our first match of the Mediocre Tournament Strong Bad's Awesome Team took on The Theten Second Coming. Though the Lizards scored early with the benefit of a well placed lightning bolt, the momentum shifted as the injuries started to pile up. Homestar Runner Chaos Warrior and Strong Bad went on a tear putting down Xenu the Kroxigor as well as 3 Sauri winning the match in overtime 2 to 1.

Next up The Green Plague took on Loki's Toys. In a match that got violent quick, The Orcs and Norse traded injuries, fouls and ejections. The Green Plague was able to do more damage however and take advantage of positioning to win the match up 2 to 1.

While you can't see it here, that injury was the result of a Stimee Special, making it worth mentioning.

In our third match up Dangerous Warriors took on Dead Men of Dunharrow. With The Dead Menu unable to achieve any success in the regular season, they turned to star player Count Luther Von Drakenborg to turn their luck around as they stood up to a difficult challenge in Dangerous Warriors winning 1 to 0 and killing a key player in the process.

In our last match of first round of The Mediocre Tournament The Springfield Atoms took on The Rockport Redbacks. This human versus human clash went well into overtime when The Redbacks were able to gain the advantage off of the performance of their catcher Alain Armiarma winning the match 2 to 1.

Now that our first round is completed let's take a look at the second round bracket for The Mediocre Tournament!

Finally for the matches you've all been waiting for in agonized anticipation The Nuffle Challenge Series semi-final match ups!

Our first match up was between the top seed Goth Bondage Party and Third Wild-card Pax Romana. Many coaches and fans alike picked the Goth Bondage Party to win it all coming off the strength of a 7 -1- 0 regular reason. However nobody told Pax Romana that! The Lizard-man squad took the fight to the S and M crew in a way unlike any team this season. A key diving tackle play caused The Bondage Party to lose their strength 5 Painjoy, and with it their hopes of reaching The Nuffle Challenge Series Championship Match as Pax Romana won 2 to 0.

Our other semi-final match featured The Dumpster Diving Lizards taking on Slingers. Another team with a 7-1-0 record the The Dumpster Diving Lizards feel that they are the elite team in Nuffle Be Praised and that too much attention has been given to Goth Bondage Party. Slingers however were the only team to actually tie Dumpster Diving Lizards in the regular season and are hoping they can go one more step and earn a spot in the NCS Championship. The Story of the match was the excellent job The lizards did controlling Slingers two strength six Mummies. By preventing them from making a big impact they were able to control the pitch and methodically move the ball winning the match 2 to 0 and earning their spot into the Nuffle Challenge Series Championship!

Welcome back to Inside The NBP! Let's send our action over to John Maddening who has the NBP Players of the week!

Thanks Crypt! That's right as always I've got the Players of the Week. However since this is the playoffs we need a special playoff edition of the Players of The Week! So this week we are going to give an award for the best player of the Mediocre Tournament, The Best Player of the Race Roulette Ruckus and the Best Player of The Nuffle Challenge Series! Then from those players we will award the overall player of the week!

First up we start with the best player of the Mediocre Tournament! The award goes to Alain Armiarma the catcher for Rockport Redbacks! Alain earrned the honors with a staggering 11 SPP from scoring both touchdowns and earning the game's MVP award!

Next up we have the award for best player of the Race Roulette Ruckus. The award goes to Amaris The Cursed! The vicious Werewolf from Nekromancie's Folly who earned himself 8 SPP by being all over the pitch making great plays.

Now we come up to the Player of the Nuffle Challenge Series. Though both Gristle McThornbody had 1 more SPP, that fact that Pax Romana's Kroxigor Nero scored a touchdown in addtion to causing an injury was enough to give him the edge and for him to earn the honors of Player of The NCS!

Now out of all of those stellar performances one did indeed stand out and that's the performance of Alain Armiarma who is this week's Player of The League! 11 SPP was far and away the most SPP for the week. Let's congratulate all our players of the Week one more time!

All Alain does is make plays.
