Inside The NBP Season 3 Week 3

Hello blood thirsty blood bowl fans and welcome once again to another edition of Inside The NBP! It's that time of the week where we take you on a journey through all of Nuffle Be Praised's Weekly Mayhem! I am forever your host Crypt Collinsworth and I've got the usual gang of miscreants with me this week to bring you all the exciting and bloody action for Nuffle Be Praised's Pro League!

We are wrapping up the last week of division match ups before next week where we move to our inter-divisional Intraconference Match ups! We had match recaps for you, our weekly spotlight on the players of the week, and our blood dripped injury report featuring the bloodiest game of the week!

Let's kick things off with our match recaps and send it over to that devilishly debonair corpse himself Mr. Ronnie Rott!

Voted handsomest of all the rotting corpses 4 years running!

Voted handsomest of all the rotting corpses 4 years running!

Thank you for that wonderfully warm introduction Crypt! Can you feel the excitement blood bowl fans? It's time for the week three match recaps! As Crypt said these matches represent the last of the division match ups before we go into our Intraconference matches in week 4 and week 5!

Let's start off our coverage in our Eastern Conference in the Tar and Feather Division! Our first match up featured First Place Strong Bad's Awesome team taking on The STD Pros. In a match that pitted chaos warrior vs nurgle warrior and beastman vs pestigor, both teams left it all out there on the pitch; however a late game miscalculation by Strong Bad's Awesome Team allowed The STD Pros Pestigor to go for it all and score on turn 16 with two go for its deadlocking the game in a 1 to 1 tie.

100,000 dollars spent on a Mercenary Nurgle Warrior, only to fall after one block.

In the other match up of Tar and Feather, 2 time division champion #Swole; trying to rebound from a rough start to the season took on The Stinking Geysers a team hoping to put together a solid game and pick up the win themselves. In the classic Orcs vs Dwarf match up neither team was able to control the pitch long enough to pick up the decisive score, ending in a 1 to 1 tie.

Now we hop over to Deep Dark where Loki's Toys took on Kingdom of The Misfits. It was not a stellar outing for the Norse Squad as Loki's Toys struggled to keep their players on the pitch against the Misfits, in the end The Bretonnian Bullies had picked up the win with a crushing 3 to 0 score.

The Yhetee went out very early in the match up.

Next up Those Verminous Rats of government Rats Off to Ya!! took on those leather clad weirdos of pian The Goth Bondage Party. In a bloody and hyper-competitive match up, Goth Bondage Party gave up their comepetitive advantage to head hunt rats instead of safeguarding the touchdown, turning a sure 2 to 1 win into a 1 to 1 tie.

You may not be able to see it but that is actually a dub-skull situation without a re-roll on turn 16.

Let's head over to the Western Conference and stop in Ale and Anarchy Division as The Cure took on Springfield Atoms. Both teams were hopping to pick up their first victory of the season to build momentum and avoid the basement of the division. In the end Springfield Atoms wanted it just a bit more, scoring the only touchdown and winning 1 to 0.

Waylan Smithers finally gets to enjoy the spotlight.

Our other match of Ale and Anarchy was a showdown between Necromantic Teams as Nekromancie's Folly took on Das Slaytanic Wehermacht. The Story of the match was The Folly's star Werewolf Amaris The Cursed being knocked out early in the match. Without their star mighty blow Pile on player, The Folly's couldn't match firepower with The Wehrmacht Losing 2 to 0.

Now we check out Salt Works where our first match up was clash between potential first place teams as 2 and 0 Street Fighter Elves took on 2 and 0 Season 2 Champion Dumpster Diving Lizards. Despite the fact that Street Figher Elves had a sound strategy going in, including head hunting Gristle McThornbody Nuffle just was not on their side as Stimee Special after Stimee Special limited The Elves options against a formdible Lizardman team. In the end The Dumpster Diving Lizards won 2 to 0 and took sole control of The Salt Works Division.

In our last match up of the Western Conference Underworld Blood Wars took on Speedy Demons. Another case of both teams looking for their first wins. Speedy Demons just edged out Blood Wars took win the match 2 to 1 and to get a victory on the board.

Let's check out the action across the pond as we look into NBP-Europa Conference where our first match is between Orion Magics and Pax Romana. Even though the Magics ended the half with 2 to 0 lead, somehow Pax Romana were able to come back and tie the game as time expired ending 2 to 2.

The Elves scored the first two touchdowns, however they were not the last two touchdowns scored.

In a bloody show of brute force and bad intentions Dangerous Warriors took on da wild tings in the classic Chaos vs Orc showdown. Though neither team seemed particularly concerned with scoring, somehow a touchdown did occur as da wild tings put one on the board to end the match winning 1 to 0.

Moving along we check out the Beheaded Kings division where we saw Kiss of Death take on Old Orleans Saints 2. Kiss of Death were looking to win their third match in a row and show their dominance of the division. Old Orleans Saints 2 wanted to show they are much better than they have been playing and were trying to overcome the injury bug. After the final whistle it was Kiss of Death standing on top winning the match 2 to 1.

The Beastman who scored this touchdown must be around here somewhere.

Finally we have our last match of the week, as Let's Go Beserk!!!! took on The Rockport Redbacks. Both teams have had a rough first few weeks of the season and both were eager to gain the upper hand to regain momentum in the division. In the end the Rockport Redbacks hit significantly harder injuring 5 norse players including killing their Yhetee and winning the match 2 to 1.

Welcome back fans John Maddening here and I've got this week's spotlight on our Players of The Week! Longtime fans know we pick three players of the week, one from each conference of NBP-Pro we then pick one overall Player of The League from those players! Who has what it takes to become the elite in NBP? Let's take a look at this week's stand out players!

First up in our Eastern Conference the award for player of the week goes to Squeak for Chair from Kingdom of The Misfit! Squeak had 7 SPP all earned (not MVP) in their week three performance over Loki's Toys!

Next up we have the award for the player of the week in the western conference! Though there were a few stand out performances in the Western Conference ultimately the award went to the player with the most SPP Waylan Smithers of Springfield Atoms with an incredible 9 SPP from MVP , a TD and a pass!

The award for Player of the Week Europa goes to veteran catcher for the Rockport Redbacks Alain Armiarma who earned 6 SPP from 2 TDS in the Redbacks victory over Let's Go Beserk!!!!

Finally we pick the player of the league from out three winners! Who will it be? The Nimble Bretonnian Blocker? The Fresh-faced Waylan Smithers? OR the Grizzled catcher Armiarma? After much deliberation the award goes to Squeaks for Chair! His 7 SPP without MVP was the most earned this week and hs performance was the most dominant against Loki's Toys!
